Activities

Aqua

Swim

Beautiful white sand beaches and warm waters provide the perfect backdrop for swimming, relaxing, and shelling. The waves are small and the water is shallow; perfect for families with small children. Lounging in the sun is also a favorite passtime.

Fish

Options abound for fishing area waters - guided or solo, inshore or offshore, party or chartered excursions. Don't forget your fishing license.

Kayak

We have several kayaks for our guests to use. Feel free to explore Estero Bay. If you're feeling ambitious, paddle up to Bowditch Point or across the bay to quiet beaches.

Boat

The best way to experience the beaches of Fort Myers is definitely by boat, especially considering many of the most beautiful locations are accessible no other way. There are a variety of charter and sightseeing cruises available, or you can rent your own boat. Just climb on board to visit points inhabited and uninhabited while dolphins playfully swim in your wake.

Sail

Sailing charters are available through several companies. If you're feeling adventurous, rent a catamaran right on the beach. There's even an offshore sailing school from true sailors.

Paddleboard

Paddleboarding is all about getting on the water, close to wildlife, without negatively impacting the environment.
Paddleboarding provides an amazing view of everything that you cannot normally see under the surface of the water and an equally stellar view of wildlife above the water.

Windsurf

Windsurfing rentals and lessons are available in Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, and Captiva.

Kitesurf

Kiteboarding is a sport which uses a big kite with a surf or wakeboard to fly across the water or to fly into the air. The thrill of the kite pulling you off the water is amazing! Lessons are available in several locations.

Jet Ski

Jet Ski or Waverunner rentals are another fun and popular activity for any beach vacation, and Fort Myers Beach offers a number of different locations and companies to rent from.
Many of the Jet Ski rental companies are located directly on the beach, and a few also offer Dolphin tours which usually run along the bay side of Estero Island.

Parasail

If you're looking for a unique way to experience Fort Myers Beach, parasailing offers a fun and different way to see the beach - from a bird's eye view over the Gulf of Mexico.

Dolphin/Eco Tour

Fort Myers Beach has a wide variety of dolphin and eco tours available. Have a close encounter with wild dolphins. Perhaps a manatee will make an appearance.

Landlubber

Walk

Fort Myers Beach extends seven miles along the entire length of Estero Island. Bowditch Point is one mile north and is a beautiful spot to explore and enjoy. If you're looking for solitude, visit Lover's Key just south of Fort Myers Beach.

Bike

Peddling around Fort Myers Beach is a popular mode of transportation. Biking allows you to venture further away than walking. There are numerous rental locations within walking distance.

Scooter

If you don't feel like driving around Fort Myers Beach, and you don't mind having two fewer wheels, then a scooter may be for you. There are several rental agencies nearby. A valid driver's license is required, a motorcycle license is not. Please ride safely and wear a helmet.

Segway

A delightful and humorous tour of Fort Myers Beach and Estero Island. Great family fun and includes lots of pictures and several stops of interest including an old Florida style bar. Two hour tour of Ft Myers Beach, Times Square, then across the bridge to the shrimp boats, and a stop at a local bar that has a nice view of the wharf. The guides are fun and the Segway is a great way to see the area.
